Rest in Him
When the disciples tried to cross over to the other side of the see in a boat (see Mark 4:36-40), they were overwhelmed by the storm which struck their ship. How many times have we been overwhelmed by a storm when it strikes us? The disciples actually feared for their lives and, bailing out water furiously, surely thought they would die. The waters crashing against you and you don't know what to do. You might feel helpless and cry out, "Lord where are you? Do you care?"
The disciples forgot one small detail in the midst of their storm--Jesus was in the boat with them! There is nothing greater than His presences. We need to recognize that He is also in the boat with us. Jesus was asleep in the boat and you might ask, "How do we wake Jesus up when He is asleep in our boat in the middle of a storm?" ......... The answer is, "We don't wake Him up we rest in Him!
