Run Fatboy Run

I watched a movie last night called “Run Fatboy Run” where a guy named Denis leaves his fiancée at the altar running away and spends the next five years trying to get her back. He decides to run in a marathon to prove to her that he can finish something. But unfortunately he is out of shape and he has only 3 weeks to train. Another guy is trying to scare him and tells him about the wall that a lot of runners might run into where you hit a point in the race whether it is 5 miles in or 25 miles in and you can’t breathe, can’t move and can’t think.

Ever ran into a wall in your life? This reminded me of Paul in Philippians 3:14 where he says, “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me Heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Paul is reminding us that we have to press on and not let the “Walls” in life set us back. Your wall might be limited thinking, lack of money, lack of knowledge, or something holding you back to doing something significant in your life.

God has called each of us to “Do Something Significant” in our lives and it needs to start today. I have never talked to anyone who has done something significant in their lives that did not run into a the “Walls” of life that set them back.
We are called to do something significant.

nice one. the walls can be pretty intimidating...i guess that is a measure of the signifigance of the task.
