Soil

My prayer today is for Turning Point Church to continue to be the “good soil.” We have seen some awesome things happening here and we are heading into an amazing season in our church.

Psalm 1:3 says,

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf do not wither. Whatever he does prospers.”

Jeremiah 17:7-8 says,

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.”

Matthew 13:3-8 says,

“A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop-a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

I pray this today that we will all be the good soil and we will be like the tree planted by the streams of water.
