What Leadership Means To You? Guest Writer Vince Farrell

Guest Writer: Vince Farrell

It’s been well said, “A leader is one who has followers.” I’ve keep this saying at the forefront of my thoughts as I minister; because if you think you’re a leader and no one is following, then you’re just taking a walk.

As a follower of Christ, I believe he gives us the greatest example of leadership. He had and continues to have followers. I believe His life reflects what we as leaders should strive to accomplish; that is, “leaders are servants.”

The King, Rehaboam, was told if he would serve the people, they would follow him all his days. He did not and his reign was not a good one, to say the least.

Jesus washed the feet of those who followed him. He set a standard for all of us that uncover God’s structure of Kingdom leadership. “If you want to be first, then be last.”

A leader who serves with, no other motive than, to serve the people; will accomplish great things for the Kingdom of God because he is a leader worth following.

great job today vince...people will follow you before they will follow your vision...if they can't see themselves in your vision, they will never follow it...it starts with people...
